Our Story
Riptide Surf & Turf opened its doors on Chincoteague Island, VA in mid-March, 1994. Its founders were born and raised on the island, and dreamed of providing tourists and locals alike with quality local cuisine and a welcoming beach atmosphere.
Located only a short drive away from the Assateague National Seashore, Riptide quickly became the most popular dining hotspot on the island. With over 25 years of dedicated service, Riptide is the perfect place for a family meal after seeing the pony swim, a quick bite before catching some waves on the beach, or a night out on the town catching up with close friends.
